From Nairo Quintana to Egan Bernal: passing through Rigoberto Urán, Esteban Chaves, Darwin Atapuma, Jarlinson Pantano, Fernando Gaviria, Miguel Ángel López, Sergio Higuita and Dani Martínez. Colombia es pasión is the collective biography of the talents who have made Colombia a cycling superpower over the last fifteen years.

Matt Rendell, English journalist and writer, television commentator and host of a very popular podcast on the Tour de France, after having narrated in King of Mountains the deeds of the heroes who, in the 1980s and 1990s, made Colombia known to the general public of international cycling, now, with the attitude of a great narrative reportage, tells the lives and dreams of redemption of this second generation of champions. Behind their successes there are surprising, sometimes shocking stories: challenging poverty and violence, illness and corruption was the premise for then facing with courage and self-sacrifice other hardships and other difficulties around the world and riding a bicycle, achieving a popularity and prestige that, in some way, have given back to its people the hope that a better future exists for them too.

Translation by Filippo Cauz, art direction Tundra.

«The children of the campesinos have found in cycling a refuge from the decline of the rural world, a place where they can apply the traditional peasant virtues of patience and perseverance, clear observation and stoic endurance of fatigue. In a country that has seen such sudden and disorienting change, their success and scale have been intertwined with the construction of the new Colombian nation."t fifteen years.
