Alvento magazine - PIEMONTE special edition
Italiano (for 🇬🇧 see below):
– Cesare Pavese, La luna e i falò, 1950
… e molto altro!

ENGLISH 🇬🇧:
“You need a place that’s home, if only for the excitement of leaving.”– Cesare Pavese, The moon and the bonfires, 1950
When it comes to Piedmont, we can’t be trusted. But we’d been wanting to dedicate an entire issue to it for a long time.
It’s alvento, but it isn’t alvento.
It looks like it, but it’s different.
There’s Turin, the mountains, the hills, the rice fields. Wine and food too, which around here always carry a certain weight when you’re planning a trip.
There are the workshops and the work of the people who live in these places.
And there’s us, with our way of making alvento and a few more reasons to grow attached to what we tell.
The Piemonte special is a limited edition.
You can find it here in the shop, at alvento points, and in the main bookshops and newsstands across Piedmont.
Distribution is limited: it won’t be available in every stockist where you usually buy alvento.
Some contents:
- My roads. Elisa Longo Borghini takes us along on of her favourite training rides, starting from her home in Ornavasso (VB).
- I don’t want to stop. Face to face with three-Michelin-starred chef Enrico Crippa, an ambassador of Piedmontese cuisine around the world and a passionate cyclist.
- The universe of La Fausto Coppi.Inside a granfondo that, for 37 editions, has been synonymous with great climbs.
- The Nebbiolo Way. 800 kilometres and 6,000 metres of evelation gain, linking the areas where the Nebbiolo is grown

- The city of bicycles. In Alessandria, cradle of Italian cycling, among the stories and bicycles of the ACdB museum.
- Traces of history. Mountain biking on the Alpine military roads, between the Susa Valley and the Chisone Valley.
- Lunch at Gios. We met one of the historic names in framebuilding in Piedmont.
… and much more!
