RULES - LAGHÉE GRAVEL EPIC 2024

RULES:

Art. 1 – Registration

All people who have reached the age of 18 at the time of registration belonging to any nationality are admitted to the LAGHÈE GRAVEL EPIC. The registration fees paid are non-refundable, cannot be transferred to another participant and cannot be frozen for another edition. Physical inadequacy and the suspended medical certificate also do not constitute grounds for reimbursement of the registration fee. The event will take place in all weather conditions. In the event of suspension due to alerts, warnings / weather or emergencies from organizations not dependent on the organization, the registration fees cannot be refunded.

Art. 2 - Medical certificate

You do NOT need a medical certificate or membership card for federations / organizations but it is always better if you have it. In any case, by registering for the event, you self-certify that you are in adequate physical condition to participate, discharging all responsibility from the organization

Art. 3 - Characteristics of the event - warnings

The LAGHÈE GRAVEL EPIC is an ADVENTURE on paved roads, dirt roads and paths; the whole route will always be open to traffic and therefore it is MANDATORY for all participants to respect the traffic rules. The participant acknowledges that he is aware that the route is not signposted, he travels at his own risk and is considered a free personal excursion without any additional rights compared to the other users of the paths and roads. It is aware that there is no health care, food (with the exception of the MEDIUM and LAGHÈE HEROES routes which provides one feed zone) and mechanics by the organizers along the route; there is no recovery service for retired people and there are no research obligations on the part of the organizers of participants on the route or who arrive late with respect to the deadline or the closure of the base camp. The participant undertakes to communicate his / her withdrawal to the organizer by sending a text message to the phone number +39 3516669706 The organizing company ASD Mitchumm Team is free, and in any case indemnified, from any liability related to the Laghèe Gravel Epic cycling excursion. It is also relieved from any responsibility regarding eventualities that have occurred to the cyclist such as: accidents, loss of the route, physical problems, accidents, thefts, etc. It therefore follows that the Laghèe Gravel Epic event is to be understood as a mere spontaneous and independent participation of cyclists and cyclists on a free and personal excursion. The participant undertakes to respect and keep clean the places crossed: meadows, woods, paths and agricultural properties, undertakes not to throw waste along the path and to deliver it in the appropriate collection containers. Participants are required to have a good physical preparation, resistance to prolonged efforts, a good knowledge of the use of GPS and orientation and above all a spirit of adaptation. Any kind of external support is forbidden (only in case of emergency). The path must be followed in its entirety and without cuts. Should you move away from it, you will have to pick it up from where it was left off.

Art. 4 – Controls & checkpoints

In addition to the checkpoint indicated in the Laghée Heroes route map, there may be checkpoints on the three routes to verify that the participant has not made cuts.

Art. 5 - Mandatory kit

For their own personal safety, in the event of an emergency or loss of the route, each participant is obliged to carry with them, for the duration of their adventure, the following minimum safety equipment: • reflective vest for night walking, • whistle or bell • cell phone • approved helmet to always wear • front white and red rear lights

Art. 6 - Other regulations

By asking to participate in the Laghée Gravel Epic each participant DECLARES:

• to have read and approved this regulation and to accept all its parts;

• to have become aware that the event is a non-competitive test of resistance and physical, psychophysical commitment and without rankings;

• to be aware that some sections can be bumpy and require a good driving technique, where necessary the participant will overcome the difficult section by getting off the bicycle and proceeding on foot;

• to have experience in GPS navigation in off-road and / or in any case not tracked routes;

• to have experience and to be aware that the route is not marked, it is not monitored and there are no safety posts and / or rescue personnel along the route;

• to have experience and to be aware of the possibility of encountering adverse weather conditions and to be able to orient oneself and ride in the hills / mountains in such conditions;

• to be physically prepared to face many hours on a bike in complete self-sufficiency;

• not to resort to doping or drugs or medicinal substances that could alter performance or lead to situations of harm or danger for oneself or for others;

• to be aware that unforeseen events may occur along the route such as landslides, sun, wind, rain, hail, lightning, cold, night, darkness, fog, snow, ice, landslides, encounters with unattended and / or wild animals, falls, collisions accidents with other participants or with people passing by and / or with motor vehicles in the stretches of carriage road and declares to be adequately prepared to deal with emergency situations;

• is the guarantor of his own behavior during and after the event;

• to be in good physical condition, providing the organization with the widest indemnity for any damage it may suffer as a result of its participation in the event;

• gives consent to the use of your data, including for commercial purposes, in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Law no. 196 of 30/06/2003;

Art.7 - Processing of personal data and use of the image of the participants.

Participation in the Event involves the processing of the personal data of the participants for the purposes and in the manner described in the Organizer's Privacy Policy. The data controller is the Organizer. By registering for the Event, the participant confirms that he has carefully read the Organizer's Privacy Policy. Video-photographic shooting. The methods of carrying out the Event include the creation of video-photographic footage in order to document the event. The video-photographic footage will be of interest to all participants indifferently and can be published and made available on the platform on the website and on the social pages of Laghée Gravel Epic and Sartoria Ciclistica. The participant acknowledges and accepts that, in consideration of the public nature of the Event, the object of the dissemination and marketing services of the video-photographic footage of the Event as well as the impossibility of selectively limiting the video-photographic shootings, to register and to participate in the Event it is necessary to authorize the filming and use of one's own image in the manner and for the purposes indicated in these Regulations, as well as in the Disclaimer and in the Privacy Policy.

Art. 8 - Release for photographic and video shooting of the event and use of the participants' image.

Read and approved the Rules of Participation and the Privacy Policy, acknowledging that my registration and / or participation in the event constitutes a free and autonomous choice, by registering and / or participating in the Event for any reason, I expressly authorize the Organizer, directly or through its service partners, to video and photographic footage of my image in the context of the Event and the consequent use of the footage for purposes related to the documentation of the Event by any means and through any channel or support, digital (TV, internet, etc ...) or analog (newspapers, posters, brochures, etc ...) The authorization is understood to have been granted, pursuant to art. 10 of the civil code and 96 and 97 of Law no. 633/1941 (Law on copyright), free of charge, for the whole world and without time limits, always subject to the limit of the protection of the decorum and dignity of my person, and with the option for the Organizer to authorize the sponsoring companies and the technical and service partners of the Event to use the aforementioned footage for the same purposes as the subject of this authorization.

Art. 9 - It also reserves the right to exclude from the event cyclists who will have an incorrect behavior before, during and after it.

Art. 10 - By registering with Laghèe Gravel Epic you accept this regulation in all its parts.
